Well, we tried this last year and unfortunately Rob and I had to come back early as some thieving b***stds had robbed our house.  We liked what we saw on the couple of days we managed, so we are going again this year.

I have provisionally booked the boat for  diving 20th to 25th March inclusive.  This means we can travel up on Saturday the19th and return anytime over the Easter weekend.  Good Friday is the 25th.  This should miss the worst of the traffic, and hopefully we won't have the M74 closed due to a lorry shedding it's load.  At this time of year the water temperature will be 7 degrees ish, so that counts out long hang times and trimix dives.  Max depth 45ish, but we will concentrate on stuff in the range 30-40m.

I need 6 people to make the trip a go, if we get 12 we get a reduced rate for the boat, costs in the region of 30-35 per day for the diving plus gas and accomodation.

Accom by preference self catering, I can arrange it but will need to know definite numbers by end November.  After that it's book it yourself for somewhere to stay, as trying to find accomodation around Easter time can be a nightmare.

Deposits and other picky Info

Due to problems in 2003 with UKRS trips and people dropping out without paying, I have to ask for the whole boat cost as a deposit.  As organiser I am liable for the boat , irrespective of how many people actually dive.  Like everyone else here, I am a private individual and cannot afford to cover the full cost.

This is a privately organised trip, I make no gain and pay for my place the same as everyone else, and I suggest that you take appropriate holiday insurance.

You are responsible for your own diving decisions.

If you have to bail off the trip, your deposit will only be refunded if a suitable replacement is found.  By suitable I mean with relevant experience, not just paper qualifications.  I reserve the right to refuse to take someone on the trip, however I will not do so without good reason.
